Phillip Nobles

Phillip was born in Hattiesburg, moved to Mobile where he was raised, attended school and first got into the optical business 50 years ago. He attended W.P. Davidson HS in Mobile, Alabama and was first introduced to his trade at Sunoptic, Inc. For almost the last 4 decades he has been working at Country Optical in Hattiesburg. Phillips’s father was in the business since 1949 and introduced him to it. He is a second-generation optician and has been in the industry since 1971.

Phillip recently decided to retire from running his own business but can’t stop doing what he loves, which is fitting people in eyeglasses. He just closed the doors to his local practice and joined Heritage Vision Center in September, 2019. Phillip’s favorite patient story is when a 5 year-old child put her glasses on for the first time and was in awe of what she could see.
In his spare time Phillip likes singing in the church choir and working in the yard. He loves working with wood and has made several cabinets and bookcases for his church. He also loves spending time with his wife, Betty and his 2 sons, Keith and Brian as well as his grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Kerri

Kerri King

Kerri is a member of temple Baptist Church, she grew up in Byram Mississippi – back when it was still a “country” community! Kerri graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in English and a Masters Degree in Business administration.
Kerri chose this field because she enjoys making a difference in people's lives. She loves working with all first time glasses wearers – typically kids. She loves seeing the looks on their faces when they turn a potentially scary experience into a moment of wonder. That first realization that they can see is priceless.

The proud mom of two amazing children, Kerri has one daughter and one son. Both attending USM. They are a creative family and enjoy the performing arts, time together is precious to them. She loves USM football, church small group bible studies and a good BBQ! Time with her adult children is her favorite.
Kerri tries to be guided by God’s will every day. Even when I fail, He does not. Her favorite verse is: Let the morning bring word of your unfailing love as I put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to You I lift up my soul. Psalm 143:8

Z Davis

Hi! I'm Z Davis and I've been with Heritage since 2005. I love my job because I truly enjoy helping and interacting with people. I get a lot out of my job because I know that what I do for my customers is very beneficial to them. It means so much to me to be helping them pick out the frame and lenses that are perfect for their lifestyles. I think that everyone should have different models to choose from as eyeglasses can be a nice accessory to the outfit you choose to wear each day. Casual frames are great for everyday use and dressy frames for work, church, and other social environments.

Two of my favorite hobbies are reading and party planning. Having proper eyewear is very important for reading long periods of time. It takes a lot of strain off of my eyes and allows me to stay focused. This is equally important when I am party planning because I don't want to miss the small details that go into planning the perfect party.

My favorite frames to show my customers are the Silhouette line beause it is just an excellent brand. This company has been well known for a number of years for having the lightest and most durable drill-mounted frames. Silhouette brand is innovative, motivated, and unique. If you are looking for comfort, style, and durability come let me show you the Silhouette frames. This brand alows you to customize your own eyewear by allowing you to choose from a large variety of lens shapes and sizes and several frame style and colors. And, if you don't like the idea of wearing glasses this brand can be the lightest and most unnoticeable. Or you can choose a model with a wide colorful temple for a bolder look. You can also choose from a custom polarized clip that adds virtually no additional weight to your glasses and are extremely fashion forward. The comfort of a Silhouette will astound you and you will probably find yourself among my many customers who, once they wear Silhouette, don't want to go back to anything else.

Kevin Harrison, ABOC

Having been in the business since 1989, I have seen some incredible changes in our industry.  When not in the store I am often on the road visiting some of the major industry players learning all I can to be able to present the latest and greatest to our customers. In addition, this knowledge helps me as I visit various state and national organizations to teach others what I have learned. All of this helps in the training and educating of our staff to make sure our customers have access to the newest technology in our frames and lenses.

My goal with Heritage VIsion Center is to make sure every customer is treated with respect. This means that we want to value your time by bringing frame choices to you that will reflect today's trends while also taking into consideration complemetary colors, as well as which frame shapes work best with each face shape and, more importantly, your prescription.

I also want our frame choices and lens options to be the best in the industry. For example, did you know that progressive lenses have been around for half a century? Progressive lens designs have changed a lot over these past five decades. And the changes in technology the last five years have allowed for lenses that are custom made to your prescription and to how the frames actually sit on your face. Sure, we still have access to the older progrssive designs that many of our competitors use on a regular basis and will sell you the older technology if that is what you want. But the digitally designed progressives offer so much better vision. That's probably why over 90% of the progressive lenses are digital progressive lenses. Come let me or my staff explain the difference in person. I think you will agree with our customer that these lens designs are quite impressive.

Ken Graves

Ken Graves

Ken has been with Heritage Vision Center since 2016. While he remains behind the scenes most of his time at the office, Ken is instantly recognizable by many in the community. During the baseball and football seasons you can find him on the diamond or the gridiron as an umpire or referee. For this reason Ken fully understands the importance of perfect vision so his efforts to craft the perfect pair of spectacles is his main focus.

Ken enjoys tinkering in the woodshop on his time off and has been known to help fill a number of his coworkers orders when they need Christmas gifts! His attention to detail in the woodshop is also reflected in the work he does in the lab. You won't find anyone in the area that takes more pride in his lab work. And rightfully so.

When not working in our lab or in his workshop Ken is an avid supporter of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles and you'll find him relaxing with his family at numerous sporting events. Ken is the area specialist for the Chemistrie Magnetic Clips and has made 100% of the clips made in Hattiesburg.
